Job summary

Blair Enterprises is hiring a Local Yard Jockey Driver in Denton, TX. The role uses a terminal tractor to move trailers within the yard, with a local schedule and home every day. CDL-A preferred, 23+ years old, and able to pass background and drug screening are required.

Pay ranges are $22/hour for non CDL-A and $24/hour for CDL-A drivers, with benefits after probation and weekly direct deposit. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• CDL-A or higher preferred for the role.
• Experience as a yard jockey is preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and pass background/drug tests.
• Must be at least 23 years old and able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a terminal tractor to move trailers within the yard and cover doors at the customer facility.
• Maintain the truck, perform daily walk-arounds, and keep it clean.
• Follow all company safety protocols and work effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Be home every day with a local driving schedule and third shift coverage.

LOCATION:

• Denton, TX 76207

PAY:

• $22/hour for non CDL-A
• $24/hour for CDL-A Drivers

SCHEDULE:

• 3rd shift
• 9:30pm-6am
• Monday-Friday
• Occasional mandatory weekend overtime

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Local Spotter Driver needed to safely cover all doors at our customer's facility, using a terminal tractor to move trailers within the yard, using radios to call out trailers
• Home every day
• Responsible for maintaining the truck including cleanliness and daily vehicle walk-arounds
• Follow all company safety protocols.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENTS

• CDL-A preferred
• Yard Jockey experience preferred
• 23 years of age
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Able to pass a drug test
• Smart phone required for payroll access and job duties
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (indoor/outdoor)
• Must be able to sit, stand, and lift up to 75lbs
• Performing other job-related duties as required
