Job summary

Staffmark Group in Orlando, FL is seeking a CDL A Yard Hostler to operate yard equipment and move trailers between facilities. This role requires attention to safety, adherence to DOT regulations, and ability to handle 30-50 trailer moves per shift.

Weekly schedules run Sunday through Wednesday from 10:00 to 20:30. Benefits include health coverage, EAP, and weekly pay. Prior CDL experience and compliance with FMCSA standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license and DOT medical card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered with clear MVR.
• At least 1 year CDL experience within the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Strong backing skills, including blindside backing.
• Experience maneuvering trailers in tight spaces preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a yard goat with an automatic transmission.
• Move trailers in and out of dock doors safely and efficiently.
• Transport trailers between nearby facilities on public roads.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Verify trailers are clear before pulling away from dock doors.
• Complete 30-50 trailer moves per shift.
• Follow all yard, safety, and DOT regulations.
