Job summary

Pathmark Trans is seeking a dedicated Yard Hostler to safely move trailers within the yard and offsite yards. The role requires operating multiple trailer types, maintaining safety, and documenting movements to keep operations running smoothly.

The position requires a CDL A, a clean safety record, MVR and BG checks, and 2–3 years of tractor-trailer experience. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime potential. Daily pay ranges from $200 to $250.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and position trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate tractors and trailers and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in loading and unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movements and activities in the yard.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize yard operations and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating vehicles in the yard.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hostler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within our yard and offsite yard. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of vehicle and equipment, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The yard Hostler plays a crucial role insulting that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties:

• Safely maneuver and positions trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate various types of vehicles including tractgor- Trailers, Lift gate Trailers, and Freight transport vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Assist in the loading and unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movement and activities within the yard
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize yard operations and improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles in the yard

Hours of Operations:

• Sunday to Thursday- 6:00AM to 4:00 PM.
• Overtime available

Pay:

• $200-$250 daily rate
