Job summary

Pathmark Transportation is seeking a dedicated Yard Hostler to safely move trailers within our yard and offsite locations. The role requires operation of tractors, trailers, and related equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL A, 2–3 years of experience, a clean safety record, and willingness to complete MVR/background checks. This position offers a structured schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 2pm–10pm, with a daily pay rate of $200–$250.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with a clean safety record and valid MVR.
• 2–3 years of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Background checks and MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and position trailers, containers and equipment in the yard.
• Operate tractors and trailers and related vehicles.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections for safety and compliance.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of yard movements and activities.
• Collaborate with team to optimize yard operations and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols while operating in the yard.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hostler to join our SIDCO team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient movement of trailers within our yard and offsite yard. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of vehicle and equipment, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The yard Hostler plays a crucial role ensuring that our operations runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Safely maneuver and positions trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate various type of vehicles including tractor, trailers, lift gate Trailers and Freight Transport vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the loading and unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movement and activities within the yard.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize yard operations and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles in the yard.

Hours of Operations

• Sunday to Thursday
• 2pm to 10pm

Pay

• $200-$250 Daily Rate
