Job summary

Hireology in Douglasville, GA is seeking a dedicated Yard Hostler to safely maneuver trailers and equipment in our yard and offsite locations. The role requires driving various tractors and trailers and maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform routine inspections, assist with loading and unloading freight, keep accurate movement records, and collaborate with the team to optimize yard operations while adhering to all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• 2-3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Clean safety record.
• MVR and BG checks required.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and position trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate tractors and trailers, Lift Gate Trailers, and Freight transport vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain records of movement and activities within the yard.
• Collaborate with team to optimize yard operations.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed while operating vehicles.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hostler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within our yard and offsite yard. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of vehicle and equipment, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The yard Hostler plays a crucial role insulting that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties:

• Safely maneuver and positions trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate various types of vehicles including tractgor- Trailers, Lift gate Trailers, and Freight transport vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Assist in the loading and unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movement and activities within the yard
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize yard operations and improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles in the yard

Hours of Operations:

• Sunday to Thursday- 6:00AM to 4:00 PM.
• Overtime available

Pay:

• $200-$250 daily rate
