Job summary

Pathmark Transportation is seeking a dedicated Yard Hostler to safely move trailers and equipment within the yard and offsite areas. The role requires operating multiple vehicle types, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining accurate yard records.

Ideal candidates will have CDL A, 2-3 years of current experience, clean safety records, and be able to pass MVR and background checks. Day and night shifts available with 8- to 10-hour shifts, Sunday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and position trailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate tractors, trailers, lift gates, and freight transport vehicles.

• Assist in loading and unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movement and activities within the yard.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize yard operations and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating in the yard.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hostler to join our SIDCO Team. The Ideal candidate will the responsible for safe and efficient movement of trailers within our yard and offside yard. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of vehicle and equipment, as well as the ability to work in a fast pace environment. The yard hostler plays a crucial role insuring that our operations runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties:

• Safely maneuver and positiontrailers, containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Operate various types of vehicles including tractor, trailers, lift gates trailers and freight transport vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the lading ad unloading freight as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of movementand activities within the yard
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize yard operations and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles in the yard.

Hours of Operations:

• Sunday to Thursday
• Day and Night shift available
• 8- 10 hour shift
