Job summary

Staffmark in Marion, OH is hiring a CDL A Yard Hostler Driver to safely move trailers and handle dock operations with no-touch freight. The role offers a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with home daily and weekly pay.

You will operate yard equipment, perform trailer spotting, coupling/uncoupling, and assist loading/unloading while meeting DOT requirements and maintaining a strong safety mindset in a manufacturing and distribution yard.

Qualifications

• CDL A license valid and in good standing.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 1 year CDL experience (past 3 years) or 2 years tractor-trailer experience (last 5 years).
• Strong backing and trailer maneuvering skills.
• Able to work safely in a manufacturing/distribution yard.
• English language proficiency per federal regulations.

Job Duties

Driving Requirements

• 22+ years of age
• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years) or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Strong backing and trailer manuevering skills required
• Able to work safely in a manufacturing and distribution yard environment
• Engligh lanugage profiency required in accordance with federal regulations
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)

As a CDL A Yard Hostler Driver you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.
