Job summary

Core-Mark International is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks, parking trailers, and ensuring safe, timely operations compliant with DOT rules. The role communicates professionally with customers and co-workers and supports the distribution of food products across the network.

The position runs Sunday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with a pay of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 6+ months CMV driving experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• CDL-A Required
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location
• Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance record in accordance with driver training program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.
• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.
• Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.
• Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
