Job summary

Farmer Focus is hiring a Yard Driver/Jockey to safely move trailers, containers, and trucks within the yard and shipping areas. This role requires a current Class A Virginia CDL and DOT/OSHA compliance. You will perform physical labor outdoors, operate a forklift, and maintain logs and equipment in safe condition.

Full-time, on-site work in a two-plant yard with a 2nd shift. Travel between plants may be required, and you will report to the Fleet Manager as part of the Internal Transportation

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A Virginia CDL and pass DOT/OSHA safety requirements.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience or capability to operate yard moving equipment and logs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks in the yard to switch empty/full containers and move trailers.
• Operate in shipping, receiving, and trailer parking areas to support logistics.
• Move trailers for maintenance to repair providers as needed.
• Maintain logs and records per law and company policy.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and DOT/OSHA requirements.
