Job summary

C.R. England is seeking experienced truck drivers for the California City area. The role starts at the Walmart Distribution Center in Shafter, CA, delivering to stores across California and Nevada with 1–5 stops per run and occasional backhauls back to the DC.

Shifts start in the early evening, with a weekly 34-hour reset and potential mid-week home time. Sleeper trucks, 53' dry van and reefer trailers are used, and drivers must have a Class A CDL and be 21 or older.

Your week starts at the Walmart Distribution Center in Shafter, CA, with no-touch loads bound for stores across California and Nevada. Loads run 1 to 5 stops, sometimes with a backhaul into the DC.

Drivers on this fleet average 1,700 miles per week. You get a 34-hour reset weekly, and there's a chance to get home mid-week too.

• Freight originates at the Walmart DC in Shafter, CA
• Deliveries to various locations throughout CA and NV
• 1 to 5 stops per load, with a possible backhaul into the DC

Schedule:

• Shifts start between 3pm and 9pm
• 34-hour reset weekly
• Linehaul drivers are typically off 34-48 hours per week
• Possibility of getting home mid-week

Equipment:

• Sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions
• 53' dry van and reefer trailers
• Trucks park at the Shafter Walmart DC: 2701 Driver Road, Shafter CA 93263

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
• Reliable transportation to commute to and from work
• This lane is not suitable for students, recent grads, or trainees
