Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking CDL A team truck drivers for our Montebello, CA Service Center. You will drive 53’ trailers or doubles between centers, with teams on the road 5 days and home 2 days weekly. Compensation starts at 36.64 USD per hour and benefits are included.

Requirements include CDL A, 1 year verifiable Class A experience in the last 3 years, clean MVR/PSP, ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen, and 23 years old (21 with FMCSA military transition). PTO available after 90 days.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP with limited violations.
• Age 23 (21 for FMCSA military-to-civilian transition).
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Team Drivers at our Montebello, CA Service Center. As a Team Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations. All our teams are on the road for 5 days and home for 2 days every week.

Requirements:

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred:

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
