Job summary

XPO is seeking a Truck Driver Student in Nashville. You will attend CDL‑A training, gain on‑the‑job experience as an LTL Driver, and perform essential vehicle inspections under supervision.

You will maintain records, handle documentation, and adhere to safety policies while transitioning to full driving duties. The role offers health and life insurance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) match, and education assistance as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old and have 1 year of related experience.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• Obtain a CDL-A permit by the first day of class and endorsements within 90 days: double/triple trailers, tanker, HAZMAT.
• Complete TSA fingerprint background check by week 2 of class.
• Maintain a safe driving record and pass DOT drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Attend CDL-A training sessions.
• Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Under supervision, perform FMCSR vehicle inspections.
• Maintain records per FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Load/unload freight using a forklift as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
