Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver Student in Idaho to train toward a CDL-A and gain hands-on experience with LTL freight. You will participate in structured sessions, learn to perform essential inspections, and handle documentation while adhering to FMCSR and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related driving experience.
• Valid state-issued drivers license, held 12 months.
• CDL-A permit by first day and endorsements within 90 days.
• Initiate TSA fingerprint-based background check by week 2 of class.
• Must pass DOT drug test with no positive results in 3 years.
• Available for various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend training sessions to obtain a CDL-A.
• Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Perform vehicle inspections under FMCSR 396.13 (DOT/FMCSR).
• Maintain records per FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Load/unload freight with a forklift as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Maintain contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced environment.
