Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver with a Class A CDL (air brakes endorsement) to safely operate heavy trucks and service customer routes in Kalamazoo, MI. The role includes performing inspections, loading and unloading refuse, and maintaining compliance with safety policies.

The position emphasizes reliability, timely route execution, and courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers. Prior truck driving experience is preferred and opportunities for growth exist within our nationwide

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load/unload refuse and operate compactor; dispose of material at facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers daily.
• Perform minor container repairs and tag unsatisfactory containers.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and complete route productivity sheets and reports.
