Job summary

CMC offers a dynamic trucking role delivering products to customers, contractors and jobsites throughout the region. You’ll complete delivery paperwork, communicate load timing with dispatch and sales, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure on-time, safe delivery while following all safety rules and PPE requirements.

The job requires a valid Class A CDL, the ability to lift up to 65 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to speak and understand English clearly.
• Ability to work independently and with a team while giving/receiving feedback.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load/timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Inventory and inspect products for quantity and condition.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
• Maintain vehicle service and repair logs per state/federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles using ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Perform loading tasks including chains/straps/tarping and safe ascension/descension.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe transportation per regulations.
• Work flexible hours as required by business needs.
