Job summary

CMC is hiring a delivery professional in Florida to service the Orlando region. You will complete delivery paperwork, conduct routine truck inspections, and deliver products to customers while maintaining safety and on-time performance.

Qualified applicants have a valid Class A CDL, the ability to lift up to 65 lbs, and are comfortable working outdoors in all weather. We offer Day 1 benefits, a 401(k) match, bonuses, and ongoing training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to listen and respond clearly.
• Ability to speak and understand English in verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving/receiving feedback.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements; pass DOT physicals and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors and jobsites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Inventory and inspect products for quantity and condition.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
• Maintain vehicle service and repair logs per regulations.
• Operate vehicles with ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, and trailer hookups/unhooking.
