Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking drivers for a regional lane that operates east of I-35, avoiding NYC, with a predictable schedule you can plan around. Expect 12 days on the road followed by 2 full days at home, 100% no-touch dry van with drop & hook most of the time and some live unload.

You’ll drive 2,200–2,800 miles weekly on Freightliner/Kenworth (2022+), with automatic transmission and APU. Earn $0.50–$0.65 per mile, $1,300–$1,500 weekly gross, and top performers at $1,750+ weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL, no OTR restrictions.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 6+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, or 120 hours from an approved CDL training academy.
• A driving record free of major violations or accidents, a background check with no red flags, and a passed pre-employment drug screen.

Overview

Route details

• 2,200 to 2,800 miles weekly
• 100% no-touch dry van, mostly drop and hook (about 70%), rest is live unload
• 12 days on the road, 2 full days home
• 2022 or newer Freightliner or Kenworth, automatic transmission, APU included
• Dedicated truck assignment, some units qualify for take-home

Pays

• $0.50 to $0.65 per mile
• $1,300 to $1,500 average weekly gross
• Top-performing drivers averaging $1,750 or more per week

If you\'re just starting out

• Paid one-on-one OTR mentorship, 4 to 6 weeks
• Weekly guaranteed pay through the entire training period, full solo pay once you upgrade
