Job summary

R+L Carriers in Temple, TX is seeking a CDL Class A Linehaul Driver to move van or double trailers between service centers and turn-points, returning home daily.

Earn up to $95,000 per year and enjoy benefits, including paid vacation after 90 days and lodging at company employee resorts. You’ll need a valid CDL-A and a clean driving record, plus DOT physical and drug screen completion.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable linehaul driving in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record with MVR/PSP checks and no serious violations.
• Age 23, 21 if transitioning from military to civilian CDL per FMCSA specs.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen; must complete road test.

Responsibilities

• Operate van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.
• Return home daily.
• Follow company safety and loading procedures.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Temple, TX Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations, and returning home daily.

Requirements:

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred:

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
