Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a CDL-A Linehaul Driver in Meriden, CT. Earn up to $95,000 yearly with daily home time and a strong benefits package. PTO after 90 days and access to employee resorts are included.

Drivers operate 53' vans or doubles between service centers and return home daily, with eligibility for Haz-Mat endorsements and further opportunities as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A certification required.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable Class A driving in past 3 years.
• Good driving record: MVR/PSP within limits.
• Must meet FMCSA age requirements (23+).
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A linehaul tractors pulling 53' van or double trailers between service centers.
• Complete daily home-time routine by returning home each day.
• Adhere to safety, hours-of-service, and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Meriden, CT Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53' or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations, and returning home daily.

Company Culture

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• M ust be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
