Job summary

R+L Carriers in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a CDL-A Truck Driver for linehaul routes between service centers. You will pull van or double trailers up to 53’ and return home daily, supporting our regional network.

Eligible candidates possess a CDL-A, at least one year of recent Class A experience, a clean MVR/PSP, pass the DOT physical and drug screen, and an ability to safely operate equipment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid vacation, and resort lodging for employees.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required.
• Minimum 1 year combined Class A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP with no major violations and ≤3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must complete a successful road test.

Responsibilities

• Pull van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers.
• Return home daily as part of the linehaul network.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Grand Rapids, MI Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations, and returning home daily.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• M ust be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
