Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking CDL-A drivers to deliver food and related products to customers. Drivers will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, with overnight options, to ensure timely, safe delivery and unloading of goods.

Typical pay ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually. A sign-on bonus of $500 per week for the first 30 weeks is offered, with comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Safety-focused driving and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report safety issues.
• Inspect and secure loads, verify invoices and signs.
• Deliver and unload customer orders on predetermined routes.
• Verify delivery with customers and collect payments where required.
• Complete hours-of-service logs per DOT/ company policy.
• Maintain cleanliness of tractor, trailer and loading areas.
