Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our Foodservice distribution team. You will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food products on a safe, timely basis in compliance with DOT rules.

This full-time role offers a $90,000/year average with a $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply) and benefits starting Day 1, including health, retirement matching, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR (past 3 years).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally to answer questions accurately and timely.
• Functions as a team member and performs duties to best serve the company.
• Performs required safety checks (pre/post trip) and DOT inspections; ensures trucks meet safety standards.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs needed.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines and policies.
• Delivers and unloads products per route schedule; collects signatures and payment when required.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and secures equipment at shift end.
