Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Driver Trainee in Lockbourne, OH. You will learn essential functions of the driver role while gaining exposure to warehouse operations during development toward becoming a McLane Driver.

During training, the pay rate is $21.00 per hour. After successful training, drivers earn $90,000 to $95,000 annually plus full-time benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance. Candidates must be at least 21 and able to obtain a Class A CDL within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English adequately for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Document deliveries and product temperatures; maintain driver logs.
• Assist unloading and delivering products to customer locations.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report defects.
• Participate in training with Driver Trainer to learn routes and driving techniques.
