McLane Company, Inc. in Longmont, CO is seeking a Driver Trainee Component to learn the essential functions of delivering products to customer locations and to gain exposure to warehouse operations during development toward becoming a full McLane Driver.

Starting pay during training is $65,000–$75,000 per year, with post-training pay from $75,000 to $110,000. Day 1 benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and more; holidays, vacation, and sick leave accrue from day

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities.
• Safely drive a tractor-trailer, use a 2-wheeled dolly, ramp, and on board PeopleNet devices.
• English reading/writing sufficient for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT report.
• Document delivery receipts and product temperatures; inspect trailer for security.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of regulations and driving skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Provide customer service including on-time delivery and returns.
• Other duties as assigned.
