Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Driver Trainee Component in Windsor, Wisconsin. You will learn essential functions of the Driver role, gain exposure to warehouse operations, and train under a Driver Trainer to become a full McLane Driver.

Pay starts at $18.00/hour during training and rises to $21.00/hour after training. From day one, benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, holidays, vacation, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan after 90 days.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver ALL products ordered by McLane customers.
• English reading/writing proficiency sufficient for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Operate DDH, document receipts and temperatures; ensure product security for transport.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn driving regulations and maneuvers.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and customer service; process returns and credits.
• Other duties as assigned.
