Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a CDL A driver to safely operate trucks, perform inspections, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries in the Columbus, IN area. The role requires independent work, good communication, and strong safety discipline.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of CDL driving, knowledge of truck mechanics, and experience with skid steers. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to support Roll Off and leachate hauling as needed.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• 2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience, a plus.
• A valid Class A CDL is required (Tanker Endorsement preferred).
• Experience on a skid steer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DVIR logs.
• Log bale counts and number of stops using a mobile app.
• Load bales using a skid steer and ramps into 53ft trailers as needed.
• Interact professionally with customers and maintain route logs and truck cleanliness.
• Operate Roll Off and haul leachate as required.
