Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Class A CDL Driver – Toter Driver to transport oversized and overweight loads to retail locations. Reports to the Terminal Manager and collaborates with Driver Supervisors, Home Center Team, Manufacturing Team, and Pilot Escorts.

Responsibilities include safe operation, permit coordination, and accurate paperwork while delivering excellent customer service. Competitive benefits offered include health, dental, vision, 401K, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to safely secure oversized loads and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Sufficient English for safety, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver logs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport oversized loads safely within the region.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and log electronic records.
• Coordinate permits and load selection with escorts and supervisors.
• Arrange pickups and deliveries to retail locations.
• Provide accurate delivery paperwork and timely reporting.
• Deliver world-class customer experience over the road and on-site.
