Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Class A CDL Driver – Toter Driver to safely transport oversized and overweight loads. You will work with terminal teams to ensure proper permits, secure paperwork, and professional vehicle presentation in the field.

As a senior driver, you’ll coordinate with Driver Supervisors, Escort teams, and Retail Centers to execute routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with DOT requirements and Clayton’s safety standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Experience with oversized/overweight loads.
• Ability to maintain proper paperwork and DOT compliance.
• Coordinate with escort drivers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport oversized loads within the region.
• Operate and maintain equipment with daily checks.
• Ensure overnight cargo paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with Pilot/Escort teams for permits and routes.
• Deliver to appointed retail locations and confirm placement.
• Provide best-practice route information to the team.
• Report accidents or damages promptly.
• Deliver world-class customer experience during over-the-road deliveries.
