Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring CDL A team drivers in Chicago, IL. Drivers pull 53’ vans or doubles, traveling between service centers and turn-points. Teams operate five days on the road and return home for two days each week.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with 1 year verifiable Class A driving in last 3 years.
• Good driving record with MVR/PSP; no major violations and ≤3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Must be 23 years old (21 if FMCSA transition) and able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.
• Team on the road for 5 days and home for 2 days each week; maintain safe operation and pass required tests.

CDL A Team Truck Drivers, Yearly range is $140,000 - $160,000 year (each driver)

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Team Drivers at our Chicago, IL Service Center. As a Team Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations. All our teams are on the road for 5 days and home for 2 days every week.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
