Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is seeking a CDL A truck driver to haul cement, mortar, and other materials to support the production of concrete products. Local deliveries mean you are home each night and you will work with Dispatch and Production teams to maintain stock and ensure safe loading.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, accurate paperwork, operating tractor-trailer per laws, and maintaining good customer relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Clean MVR and safe driving record required.
• Minimum 2 years of current CDL experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a current DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Transport cement, mortar, and other materials safely and on time.
• Perform raw material bulk pickups using pneumatic tanker.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Production to maintain proper levels.
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Maintain accurate records: daily truck logs, fuel tickets, delivery docs.
• Navigate using Android tablet and ELD; communicate with team.
• Maintains good customer relations with internal and external customers.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any issues immediately.
• Obtain signatures and return paperwork to the appropriate parties.
• Operate tractor-trailer in compliance with state and federal laws and safety rules.
• Provide routine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Survey job area and unload cargo safely; know materials handled.
