Job summary

Amrize is actively hiring a Tack Truck Operator in Maryland to safely operate a TCT truck, transport asphalt materials, and support paving crews. You will perform inspections, report issues, and adhere to DOT regulations while working in outdoor conditions.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL with Tankers Endorsement, and prior experience with asphalt operations. Daily travel and safety-focused teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working on Maryland roadway projects preferred.
• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with Tankers Endorsement.
• Previous experience driving TCT trucks and asphalt operations preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and job site safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a TCT truck in asphalt paving operations.
• Transport asphalt materials to and from job sites.
• Load, unload, and maneuver materials as directed by the paving crew.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or delays to supervisors.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and site-specific rules.
• Assist with general paving operations when needed.
• Promote a culture of safety and health compliance.
