Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and full trailers to domicile yards. You will operate tractor/trailer and straight trucks on intrastate/interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols.

The role requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+ years old, and a clean MVR. Expect a 3rd shift Sun–Thu schedule and per‑trip pay structure with strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 6 months+ commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sun–Thu nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift/move freight 60–90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pre/post trip safety checks on tractor/trailer and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure freight.
• Maintain route paperwork with tractor trailer load for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers on predetermined routes.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park/store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns; complete required paperwork.
• Unload equipment and remove trash; keep area clean.
• Complete daily HOS logs per regulations and company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
