Job summary

Performance Food Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return with full trailers to domicile yards, in compliance with DOT rules.

You will operate tandem tractor, tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, perform pre/post-trip safety checks, record hours, and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to pass DOT health card requirements and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper loading and securing of freight.
• Maintain route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and secure tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secure freight and damaged goods; complete required paperwork.
• Unload, remove trash, and keep trailers clean and organized.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
