Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver for overnight routes and occasional yard work. Starting pay is $32 per hour with strong benefits and a clear career path. Duties include transporting empty trailers, turning and delivering full trailers, and adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 12+ months of driving experience, and a DOT health card. Expect night shifts Sunday–Thursday with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday –Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Transport empty trailers to operating company warehouse locations and turn around and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
• Drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Deliver trailers in a safe and timely manner in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Ensure all route paperwork is complete and available to dispatch.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per company and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties to support the shuttle operation.
