Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL (A) to safely operate heavy trucks, perform pre/post inspections, and service customer routes with professionalism. You will read route sheets, follow dispatcher instructions, and handle waste disposal tasks at designated facilities while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement and offers comprehensive benefits, PTO, retirement plans, and employee programs.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.
• Ability to adhere to Company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes to service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
