Job summary

Ben E. Keith is seeking a route delivery driver to perform product deliveries along assigned routes and ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a valid CDL-A, DOT knowledge, and at least one year of route driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must know and adhere to DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• At least 1 year of route driving experience required.
• DOT certification required.
• Valid State Class A CDL license required in state of residence.
• Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform product deliveries along assigned routes, and other related duties to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, perform preventive checks, and request service/repairs as needed.
• Assemble orders for timely delivery to customer businesses and ensure correct delivery windows.
• Place delivered products in storage locations at route stops per customer requests.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product and prevent damage.
• Communicate problems to Transportation Supervisor by phone as needed.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal directions to optimize routes.
• Manage multiple tasks and use time, equipment, and materials efficiently.
• Comply with DOT regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.
