Job summary

Sysco is seeking a delivery driver to run daily routes with frequent stops and load/unload products as assigned. You will work at a domiciled location close to the customer marketplace and perform pre-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate delivery, customer service, and efficient route execution in varying weather and traffic conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year route delivery experience or driving a straight truck.
• Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to understand highway signs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or with a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures.
• Follow DOT regulations and Sysco policies and procedures.
