Job summary

SST Direct in Madison, WI is seeking a CDL A Route Delivery Driver for a direct hire position. The role runs Sunday through Thursday from 8pm to 4am, with a pay rate of $23.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
• Follow DOT/state/local regulations and company policies.
• Clean driving record per policy.
• Six months to one year experience preferred.
• Available to drive nights and weekends.
• Must read/speak English.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds overhead; sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent attendance and meet route schedules.
• Deliver products to customers promptly and safely.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors.
• Maintain neat, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete required daily/weekly paperwork and checks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced CDL A Route Delivery Driver to join a dynamic team.

Location: Madison, WI.

Pay: $23.60/H

Shift: Sunday - Thursday: 8pm to 4am

Responsibilities for CDL B Route Delivery Driver:

• Have excellent attendance
• Meet established route schedules
• Have good communication and customer service skills
• Follow all company safety rules
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
• Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
• Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

Additional Responsibilities:

• Cross-train on other routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills/Requirements for CDL B Route Delivery Driver:

• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class A drivers license
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Must have clean driving record per company policy
• Have six months to one-year experience
• Be available to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Be able to use repetitive arm motions
