SST Direct in Batavia, NY is hiring an experienced CDL A Route Driver for direct hire to support a large healthcare services company. The role requires delivering products to customers on schedule while maintaining safety and quality.

Valid CDL-A and clean driving record are required, with ability to work nights and weekends. The position offers a starting pay of $26.95 per hour, with shift options and differential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license.

• Six months to one year of driving experience preferred.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Job description

DIRECT HIRE: Seeking an experienced CDL A Route Driver to join a large healthcare services company.

Working Location: Batavia, NY

Pay: $26.95/hr.

Shift: Must be open to the following start times: 2pm 4pm 7pm 10pm (shift differential of .25/.50 depending on shift)

Responsibilities:

• Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
• Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
• Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

Additional Responsibilities:

• Cross-train on other routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills/Requirements:

• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class A drivers license
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Must have clean driving record per company policy
• Have six months to one-year experience
• Be available to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
