Job summary

North of Houston, NIS EXPRESS is seeking new driver trainees to move freight regionally. You’ll train on the road with a trainer and then run central regional freight, with home time every two weeks and steady weekly miles.

The program offers training pay of $850 per week, a $1,000 per week guarantee for the first 3 months solo, and a potential weekly gross of $1,100–$1,400. Orientation pay of $300 is provided along with benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and 21+ years old.
• New drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional freight routes as assigned.
• Train on the road with experienced driver trainer.
• Run central regional freight and maintain steady freight flow.

Getting Started

• Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and the Midwest
• Different customers, steady freight
• Home every two weeks, often sooner
• 1,700 to 2,000 miles a week

Pay

• $1,100 to $1,400 average weekly gross
• Mileage pay based on your experience$15 stop pay
• Performance bonus plan
