American Driver LLC is hiring CDL-A drivers for a regional Gulf Coast fleet, with bases in Texas. New hires receive up to two days of orientation, lodging covered, and a $300 first-week hire payment, followed by about 200–250 learning hours at $850 per week under a mentor.
After solo, weekly pay ranges from $1,100 to $1,300, with a $1,000 weekly minimum after three months, plus mileage, fuel and safety bonuses. Riders and pets are allowed under conditions.
We're hiring new CDL-A drivers who live in Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches and Beaumont. If you already carry a TWIC card from the plants or the port, that's a plus. It's not required.
Orientation lasts no more than 2 days. Your lodging is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you're paid $300 once hired. Then you drive 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200-250 hours, and get $850 a week while you learn the job.
You run a regional fleet based in Houston. Most of the freight stays in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee, with some loads into Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois. Weekly miles land between 1,700 and 2,000. Loads are a mix of drop and hook, preloads and live loads. Because the fleet stays close to the Gulf, it can often route you back through the house. You're home every 2 weeks.
A Freightliner about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed, assigned to you. Most trucks have an APU or inverter. EZ-Pass and PrePass are provided.
An approved adult rider can come along. One dog under 40 lbs is allowed after training.
Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
