Job summary

Albany-Trucking in Chicago, IL is hiring CDL-A drivers for dry van freight. Expect 1,800–2,400 miles per week with 34‑hour weekly home time, no-touch freight, and routes mainly East of I-35 through established regional lanes.

We provide paid orientation with hotel accommodations and $250 orientation pay, 24/7 dispatch, home-time flexibility, and benefits including Health Insurance, 401K, Life Insurance, Rider and Pet policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid CDL-A license.
• 12+ months tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years.
• Experience driving across 3+ states.
• Current DOT Medical Card.

Consistent Miles & Freight:

Drivers average 1,800-2,400 miles per week hauling primarily dry goods freight. Drivers pull dry van trailers with a combination of drop and hook and live unload freight, with all freight being 100% no-touch.

Flexible Truck Parking:

Park your truck at home or at one of our terminals during home time.

Operating Region:

Operate primarily East of I-35. Customer freight moves across established regional lanes that help provide dependable miles and support consistent weekly schedules.

Equipment & Driver Support:

Assigned trucks help provide familiarity from one trip to the next.

• APUs, Qualcomm, EZ Pass, and PrePass are provided
• Drivers can take their truck home during time off
• Around-the-clock dispatch support is available whenever assistance is needed

Orientation:

Paid orientation includes hotel accommodations, travel arrangements, and meals. Drivers receive $250 orientation pay on their first paycheck. Single-occupancy hotel rooms are provided during orientation, with travel arrangements and meals coordinated throughout the program.
