Blue Ridge Haulers is seeking CDL-A regional drivers to run a consistent Ohio-to-Mid-Atlantic route. You’ll be home weekends on a steady schedule with a $1,350 weekly minimum and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Expect 2 loops per week, with pay components including detention, layover, and breakdown pay.

This role emphasizes safety, a clean driving record, and adherence to DOT requirements while operating newer equipment on a permanent assignment. Minimum qualifications apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL from any state.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• At least 12 consecutive months of U.S. driving history.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Cannot currently be under contract with another carrier.

Responsibilities

• Operate a regional Ohio–NJ loop with home weekends.
• Meet the weekly pay requirements and operational expectations.
• Deliver freight safely, with 50–60% drop & hook and 40–50% live unload.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.

CDL-A Regional Driver - Ohio to Mid-Atlantic (NJ) -Home Weekends
Job Type: Driving

Home every weekend. Run a consistent Ohio-to-New Jersey route with $1,350 weekly minimum pay and predictable regional freight.

This position is built for CDL-A drivers who want steady miles, regular home time, and additional earning opportunities. You'll run a regional loop between Ohio and the Mid-Atlantic, typically completing 2 loops per week.

Route & Home Time

• Home Saturday & Sunday for a 34-hour reset
• Potential for an occasional 10-hour break at home during the week, depending on freight
• Regional freight between Ohio and the Mid-Atlantic/NJ
• Typically 2 loops per week
• 50 to 60% drop & hook
• 40 to 50% live unload

Weekly Pay

$1,350 weekly minimum pay when program requirements are met.

Based on the average 1,840 weekly miles, this is approximately $0.73 per mile, before accessorial pay and performance-based incentives.

Additional pay includes:

• $12.50/hour detention after the second hour
• $100/day layover pay
• $100/day breakdown pay
• Up to $0.03 CPM performance-based bonus

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus

Weekly Minimum Pay Requirements

The $1,350 weekly minimum applies when drivers remain available and meet the program's operational requirements.

• Be available each day, excluding the scheduled 34-hour restart
• Complete assigned freight without driver-related service failures
• Honor PTA and properly plan trips
• Accept assigned loads

Performance-Based CPM Bonus

Earn up to $0.03 additional CPM based on:

• Safety
• Mileage
• Productivity

The bonus begins with the first full month after hire. Drivers must be active OTR company drivers at the time of payout.

Equipment

You'll operate newer equipment on a permanently assigned basis:

• 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth
• Automatic transmissions
• Permanently assigned truck
• No slip seating
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 36 months
• Valid Class A CDL issued by one state
• At least 21 years old
• At least 12 consecutive months of U.S. driving history
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No preventable major accidents in the past 5 years
• Safe driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Cannot currently be under contract with another carrier
