American Driver LLC is seeking new Class A CDL graduates for a mentored refrigerated hauling program based in the Oxnard area and across seven western states. Trainees earn $850 weekly during training, followed by guaranteed pay of $1,000–$1,100 per week once trained, with miles in the 1,800–2,200 per week range and a typical 2 weeks out with 2 days home.
Orientation is paid, and after 30 days employees gain access to benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, a 401(k)
This refrigerated lane was built for one kind of driver: someone who just finished CDL school. Experienced hires are not placed here. Every seat goes to a new driver who wants to learn reefer freight the right way, with a mentor, on regional western runs. If you live around Oxnard, Ventura or the Santa Clara River valley and you hold a fresh Class A, this is written for you.
Seven western states: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona, with some Utah. Loads sometimes pass near home in the middle of a trip.
No. Reefer loads use live load and live unload appointments, but the freight is no-touch. You wait at the dock. You do not work it.
It pays more. Reefer runs pay two cents more per mile than dry van, the hauls are longer, and stop pay is higher. Loads from 25 to 99 miles pay an extra $25 on top of miles.
No. On your days off the truck stays at the Jurupa Valley terminal. That keeps your driveway clear and your truck secure.
Yes, after training is complete. One approved dog up to 40 pounds. A rider program is available to solo drivers.
Up to six cents more per mile each month when you hit 9,200 miles, average 7 miles per gallon and stay accident free. Stops pay $25 each.
Orientation runs two days or less and pays $300 once you are hired. A one-way bus ticket to orientation is reimbursed with a receipt. Your truck will be a late-model tractor, about a year and a half old on average.
