Job summary

Hulcher Services is seeking motivated individuals with a Class A CDL to build a career operating specialized heavy equipment used in railroad derailment response and recovery. You’ll receive hands-on training and work alongside experienced operators to learn how to safely recover derailed railcars and locomotives using cranes and other machinery.

This full-time role involves travel up to 50%, 24/7 emergency response, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Able to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 emergency response environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport specialized heavy equipment using tractor-trailers and escort vehicles.
• Assist with railroad derailment recovery operations.
• Learn to operate heavy recovery equipment under supervision.
• Handle rigging equipment, chains, wire rope and recovery tools.
• Work around heavy equipment, active railroads, bridges and waterways in a safe manner.
• Perform equipment setup, maintenance, cleaning and inspections.
