Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is expanding its delivery operations in Medley, FL. This role involves a 5‑day work week (Mon–Sat) with one weekday off and rotating weekend shifts.

Dispatch begins at 10pm or 11pm until routes are completed, with responsibility to drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and related products on schedule. Drivers must meet DOT regulations, carry a valid CDL-A, and have 12+ months of driving experience.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR in last 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes and local/OTR/shuttle overnight routes.
• Deliver and unload food and related products to customers safely and on time.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and comply with DOT regulations.
• Record hours of service and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Safely load/unload freight and ensure proper securing of cargo.
