Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking delivery drivers to operate tractor trailers and straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes.

This role offers a 5-day work week with home daily shifts and early dispatch times, delivering food and related products to customers with emphasis on safety and timely service. Expect competitive pay from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, with benefits starting Day 1 and opportunities for growth within America’s food distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure new.
• Able to hand-lift and handle freight ranging 10–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Inspects tractor/trailer and perform required safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Deliver and unload orders according to route schedule.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures.
• Complete required freight paperwork accurately.
• Secure equipment and keep trailers clean.
• Maintain daily hours of service log per DOT and company rules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
