Job summary

C.R. England in Decatur, GA is seeking an on-site mentor driver to train a new apprentice one mile at a time. The role focuses on teaching safe, compliant operation and efficient trucking within state and company policies.

You will drive mostly refrigerated, no-touch freight and shape routes around your home region. Expect a strong work ethic, clear communication, and opportunities for bonuses as safety and performance bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 25 years of age or older.
• 6+ months of current CDL-A driving experience.
• Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life and AD+D Insurance are provided.
• PTO and 401(k) offered.

Teaching a new driver the job, one mile at a time, is the heart of this OTR mentor seat. You share the cab with an apprentice and show them how to run a truck safely and efficiently, following state and local laws and C.R. England's policies.

Freight is mostly refrigerated with some dry loads, and all of it is no-touch. Delivery locations and haul lengths vary based on where you live.

Strong work ethic and clear communication are what make a mentor succeed here. If you like passing on what you know, this role puts that to work.

Day to Day:

• Train apprentices to operate a truck safely and efficiently
• Coach compliance with state and local laws and company policies
• Haul no-touch freight, primarily refrigerated with some dry
• Routes and haul lengths shaped around your place of residence

Home Time:

• 2-3 weeks out with 2-3 days off

Equipment:

• Freightliner trucks three years old or newer
• Company-provided sleeper trucks pulling 53' trailers
• All trucks have automatic transmissions
• One of the newest fleets in the country, kept running smoothly
