Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring Downriver and Detroit Class A drivers for eastern OTR runs. New CDL-A grads are welcome and will ride with a mentor before moving to solo pay. Expect weeks on the road, two weeks out, with routes staying east of the plains.

You’ll start with a paid mentor training period, then earn full solo mileage pay. Trucks are assigned and dispatch runs day and night, with weekly home time after each two-week cycle.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required with a clean driving record.
• Recent CDL-A grads welcomed with 120+ hours of school.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
• DOT physical and hair/urine drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate eastern OTR lanes with two weeks out, then home for reset.
• Follow dispatch instructions; loads planned by the company.
• Maintain assigned truck and adhere to safety policies.

Job description

Downriver and Detroit Class A drivers: OTR miles that stay east, two weeks out and home for your reset, with a paid seat if you're new.

Fresh out of CDL school? You don't need experience to start here. You'll ride with a seasoned mentor first, paid, and move to full solo pay the day you finish. The freight keeps you east of the plains, so the miles are steady and the routes get familiar.

The money

• $1,200 to $1,400 a week, roughly $62,400 to $72,800 a year
• Starts at $0.55 a mile, up $0.01 each year to a $0.65 cap
• 2,100 to 2,500 miles a week
• $15 a stop after the first
• Paid every week, direct deposit

A week on this account

OTR lanes through the eastern states. Drop-and-hook, live loads and live unloads in the mix. Out about two weeks, then home. Loads are planned for you and dispatch runs day and night.

What it takes

• Class A CDL in your home state, 21 or older
• New CDL-school grad (120+ hours) or verifiable experience
• Acceptable driving record, no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine screen
