Job summary

US Foods in Perth Amboy, NJ is hiring a Yard Jockey CDL to coordinate trailer movement, couple and prepare equipment, and support nightly shuttle operations. You will work with Dispatchers, Warehouse Supervisors, and mechanics to keep the distribution center running smoothly.

Requirements include CDL Class A with DOT qualifications, at least 21, six months driving experience preferred, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission may be required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Communicate & collaborate with Dispatchers and mechanics.
• Couple and prepare equipment for nightly shuttle operations.
• Move, load, and unload trailers safely between buildings.
• Stage and set up trailers for backhaul and unloading.
• Attend required meetings and adapt to additional duties as assigned.
